Things get off to an emotionally charged start this month, with a Full Moon in Leo on February 1st that promises to be dramatic, expressive, and creatively generative (albeit, quite intense on the nervous system), especially for those of you with strong Leo and/or Aquarius placements. That energetic charge will extend into February 3rd, when Uranus - the planet of unexpected change, disruption, and shocking/explosive events - stations Direct in Taurus. On a macro level, this could pull focus towards economic markets and possibly seismic events, as shakeups from Uranus in an earth sign (like Taurus) can indicate literal earthquakes as well as financial destabilization. It’s also highly likely that we’ll start to see even more shocking information being revealed related to Trump and the Epstein files, because of how prominent Uranus is in Trump’s chart (hence why he’s such an unpredictable character).
By the end of the first week, you’ll start to notice comms taking on a vaguely dreamy, ambiguously philosophical sort of quality. That’s because Mercury - the planet that rules communication, information, ideas, and logistics - moves into the logistically challenged, fact-averse sign of Pisces. I don’t say that as a dig against people with Pisces placements though; I say it as a way of emphasizing that Pisces is ruled by Jupiter - the planet of adventure, discovery, and growth - and therefore it’s much more interested in imaginative world building than analytical number crunching. Mercury will be under that Jupiterian influence as it swims through Pisces from February 6th until April 14th, making us all more prone to expansive, abstract, idealistic ways of thinking.
That energy is likely to skew more inspiring than frustrating for those of you with creative writing projects and collaborative brainstorms that could benefit from you taking a more visionary, intuitive approach. However, the excessive and side quest-y nature of Jupiter has a way of turning simple interactions into long-winded, non-linear conversations full of enough tangents and digressions to make you feel like the shrooms just hit when all you asked was a yes or no question. So for those of who have to manage more technical or administrative tasks (like copy editing or itinerary planning) the nebulous and illusory energy of this transit will prove to be more of a challenge, and I’d advise you to get multiple eyes on any important documents before submitting, publishing, or signing off on them.
Unfortunately, Mercury finds itself in the worst possible condition as of February 26th when it stations retrograde in it least favorite sign (Pisces), making it even harder to come by clarity, accuracy, succinctness and truth. We’ll be riding the wave of Mercury retrograde until March 20th, so this month will end on a particularly convoluted note, with everyone being more vulnerable to deception, delusion, miscommunication and misunderstandings. My prediction is that the flat out lies, coordinated deception, misinformation, and deliberate misdirection of Trump’s administration will reach new heights during this period. On a more personal level, the key to navigating any retrograde - which are times of review, repair, return, and redirection - is to slow down and move with thoughtful intention. Not only will that mitigate the chances of you having to revise/repeat/restructure your work, it improves the quality of your presence and makes it easier to recognize what important lessons are being revealed through the delays, denials, and challenges you come up against during this time.
The silver lining of this month starts on February 10th when Venus moves into Pisces. This is the zodiac sign where Venus is said to be exalted, which is astrologer-speak for Venus being in the best condition - and, therefore, more capable of and likely to manifest her qualities of connection, beauty, devotion, and pleasure - whenever she’s in Pisces. This is good news for everyone, but if you’re a Pisces/Taurus/Libra rising, or if you have your Sun/Moon/Venus in any of those signs, you stand to personally benefit from the blessings of this transit more than others. Between February 10th and March 6th, you can expect your relationships (especially with romantic partners) to be infused with a greater sense of harmony, shared desire, balance, and spiritual connection. This is an excellent time to work with others as social cohesion will be at a peak point and people are more likely to affable and understanding, which mitigates interpersonal conflicts and helps resolve those that do come up with greater ease.
